BAPAA
Bedazzle Accessible Performing Arts AcademyProfessional training. No barriers. Where inclusive meets professional.
A professional performing arts training course preparing adults with special abilities and/or disabilities to develop a wide range of skills within the performing arts — ready to enter the industry.
Where inclusive meets professional
BAPAA offers inclusive professional training for adults with special abilities and/or disabilities. The course develops performance skills through an accessible training programme with visiting directors, industry days, work experience in a local theatre, and group visits to shows and contemporary productions.
What the course covers
A fully rounded performing arts education — from technical craft to professional confidence.
Technical Tuition
Preparing students across all aspects of the performing arts industry — including script development, set design, lighting, sound, front-of-house duties and show planning logistics — so graduates understand the industry from every angle.
Partnerships
Students have the opportunity of joining our talent agency, Inclusive Talent, with a proven track record of securing auditions for feature films, TV shows, music videos and commercials. As the course concludes, students will have headshots, a showreel, a voice reel, a professional CV, and at least one professional credit.
Showcase & Productions
Students experience professional work on shows and events — including at least one unique piece each year (film, stage or multi-media). This involves scriptwriting, set and props design, costume, light and sound as well as performing dance, mime, acting and singing.
Qualifications & Pathways
Throughout training, students can gain qualifications including OCR Cambridge Technical in Performing Arts and Trinity Performing Arts exams, moving through the grades as they progress. The course focuses on developing technical skills in three key areas: singing, acting and movement.
Inspiring Confidence
This highly intensive course offers the opportunity to gain professional experience and become audition-ready. We place the student at the centre of the creative process, supporting them to understand their strengths and development needs, increase their communication skills, and finish the course as confident performers.
BAPAA connects to the wider Bedazzle world
The course is a gateway — not an endpoint. Two specialist arms of Bedazzle exist specifically to extend what BAPAA students can achieve.
